T-Mobile USA has announced plans to begin selling Motorola’s first Android-based smartphone, the Cliq, on October 19.

Initially unveiled by Motorola earlier this month, the Cliq features a sliding QWERTY keyboard, touchscreen display, 5-megapixel digital camera, and an impressive array of social networking software. It will be available for $200 on a two-year T-Mobile contract.

T-Mobile already offers two other Android-based smartphones, the G1 and myTouch 3G, both of which are manufactured by Taiwan’s HTC Corp.
