The TomTom XXL 530S and 540S devices will feature 5-inch widescreen displays, and full maps of the U.S. and Canada. They will also come with ‘IQ Routes,’ an exclusive TomTom feature which maps out the quickest route to a destination based on historical traffic data.
“The new TomTom XXL devices enrich our product portfolio by providing our customers with new offerings that cater to individual preference and need, like the larger, easy-to-read screen” stated TomTom president, Jocelyn Vigreux. “The introduction of the XXL range is in line with our strategy to increase the depth and breadth of our product offerings, based on customer feedback.”
The new TomTom devices are set to hit the North American market sometime in October. The 530S will sell for $279.95, while the 540S (which comes with maps of Mexico and a library of 7 million points of interest) will cost $299.95.
