Toronto-based cable giant, Rogers Communications, has rolled out a new feature called TV Call Display, allowing customers to screen incoming calls on a cable television screen.

When a new call comes in, the user will see a pop-up banner at the bottom of their TV screen. At this point they can choose to answer the phone or ignore the call by pressing ‘exit’ on their Rogers remote control. The feature can be turned off temporarily using the ‘snooze’ option.

TV Call Display is now available at no extra charge to Rogers customers in Ontario who subscribe to both cable TV and digital phone service.
