Western Canada’s biggest cable company, Shaw Communications, has extended its fastest broadband offering, ‘High-Speed Nitro,’ to Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
The Nitro service was initially launched in Saskatoon this February, and subsequently extended to Winnipeg and Victoria. In these cities, it offers peak download speeds of 25-Mbps, at a cost of $106.95/month.
The Calgary/Edmonton/Vancouver networks are even more advanced, offering speeds of up to 100-Mbps for $150/month.
“The expansion of High-Speed Nitro into the cities of Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver demonstrates Shaw’s commitment to continually enhancing our Internet services to meet our customers’ changing needs,” commented Shaw president, Peter Bissonnette. “Shaw is the only provider in Canada to offer 100 Mbps service in these areas, and we are proud to offer our customers an unparalleled Internet experience coupled with 24/7/365 support and reliability.”
