It is also to give existing contract holders (who know this super duper deal is happening) an option to sign on for a new "Contract"..yeah...oh... and the basic rate is going up by $5.00 folks. Can you believe this crap!!! Why not tell the truth!!!, Hey folks we want to lock you in to a new long term contract to save you from running before the new cheap unlimited minute providers hit town just before Christmas, and we will discount our rates a whopping $1.95 (which is really all it amounts to) then Telus will get you all tied up for another 3 years with a new phone to ice the cake pkg for you. THEY MUST THINK WE ARE ALL STUPID!!! WAIT A FEW MONTHS IF YOU WANT TO SAVE A LOT OF MONEY ON YOUR MOBILE PHONE!!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR!!! What a load of garbage.
