2:50 pm on November 15, 2009 | Category: Mobile Devices, Cell Phones
Kaufman Bros. analyst, Shaw Wu, ‘confirmed’ on Friday that Research In Motion is working on a touchscreen smartphone with a sliding QWERTY keyboard.
In his research note, Wu cited various sources, including industry contacts and parts suppliers who say the new phone is already in development.
The forthcoming product, rumoured to be called the BlackBerry 9900, will aim to deliver the “best of both worlds” by combining the large touchscreen display of the BlackBerry Storm with the built-in QWERTY keyboard of the BlackBerry Bold and Curve devices.
