iMussolini the Second Most Popular Italian iTunes App

A recently-introduced iTunes application loaded with videos of WWII-era fascist dictator, Benito Mussolini, has become Italy’s second most popular piece of iPhone software.
The application, called iMussolini, was released on January 21 and has been downloaded an average of 1,000 times a day since then. It sells for €0.79, or approximately US$1.10.
Luigi Marino, the 25-year-old creator of iMussolini, described fascist rule as “a delicate page in our history that should never be forgotten. I’m stunned by the success of the application. I’ve had complaints, but also lots of positive feedback asking me to keep updating.”
Marino says he may create additional applications collating the speeches of other historical figures. “To avoid controversy, maybe I’ll do one on Gandhi,” he said.
