Score Media announced yesterday that its free BlackBerry application, ScoreMobile, has been downloaded more than a million times since its release seven months ago.

ScoreMobile 1.3 provides BlackBerry users with scores and other information regarding baseball (MLB), basketball (NBA, NCAAB), football (NFL, NCAAF, CFL), golf (PGA), hockey (NHL), soccer (EPL, MLS), and auto racing (NASCAR).

“ScoreMobile makes it simple and easy for users to follow sports in real-time, and is a great example of how the BlackBerry platform can be leveraged to provide an even richer user experience,” commented Jeff McDowell, the senior vice president of business marketing for BlackBerry manufacturer, Research In Motion.

The ScoreMobile application currently has a four-star rating on BlackBerry App World, and serves more than 40 million page views a month.
