Burnaby, British Columbia-based wireless giant, Telus Mobility, plans to launch a Canadian version of the Motorola Droid known as the “Motorola Milestone” on January 26, according to information leaked by an industry insider.
“I’ve received confirmation from my Telus sales rep that the Milestone will be scheduled to launch January 26th on the Telus network; provided that it launches ‘on time’,” the anonymous tipster was quoted as saying.
The Milestone will operate on Telus’ new HSPA+ mobile broadband network, which offers download speeds of up to 7.2-Mbps.
