The Source to Offer Bell Phones Exclusively

Canadian telecommunications giant, Bell, announced today that all 750 outlets of The Source would carry exclusively Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile-branded cell phones by the end of this month.
The decision comes six months after Bell acquired The Source from Circuit City at a cost of $135 million, and will coincide with the launch of new bundling options for customers that want to order wireless services alongside broadband, home phone, and satellite television products.
“Delivering state-of-the-art wireless products and network services to even more Canadians is a core part of Bell’s strategy to accelerate wireless,” said Bell Mobility’s chief branding officer, Wade Oosterman, in a statement. “Wireless clients at The Source locations across Canada will now have direct access to both the world’s hottest smartphones and the country’s fastest, largest and most powerful wireless network.”
The Source is now the single biggest cell phone retailer in the country, with more than 70% of Canadians living within five miles of a ‘Source’ outlet.

Curious to see how many Bell outlets are combined with the Source outlets… pay phone bill at the Source outlet??

This is all fine for Bell to do. However, we moved from Alberta to Saskatchewan and could not transfer over our Bell cell phones because Bell has no service here of their own. They piggyback on another network. Hence, we still have Alberta phone numbers and others must pay long distance to phone us here in our own province. Bell… it’s time to become a true national company which includes Saskatchewan!

I work at a Source store, and in my mall, there is a Bell store directly across the hall. We put out our Bell and Virgin phones Sunday night and there is a guy coming today to tear down our Rogers wall. My one complaint through all this is the complete and total lack of actual training on the products and services. We are all supposed to do 13 online courses each, which only one staff member has completed so far. I’m about halfway through, and have to finish on my own time, without getting paid for it.
