Retail giant, Best Buy, has terminated a short-lived promotional offer that allowed Canadians to purchase the recently-released Motorola Milestone device at a $50 discount.

Best Buy began taking pre-orders for the new smartphone a few days before it was released, and initially charged $549.99 without a contract. The company has now jumped the price to $599.99, the same as wireless carrier, Telus Mobility, charges for an unsubsidized Motorola Milestone.

Both Telus and Best Buy are offering the Milestone for $199.99 on a three-year Telus Mobility contract.
