Three weeks after expanding into Canada, premium mobile radio service, Slacker, is trying to further broaden its reach with a new software application for Palm smartphones.

The application, which is available at no cost for the first 30 days, grants access to over 120 pre-programmed radio stations, and allows users to program their own radio channels based on songs or artists they like.

“Slacker offers music lovers an effortless way to discover and enjoy music on their computers, smartphones or through their home entertainment devices,” commented Slacker Radio’s senior vice president of marketing, Jonathan Sasse. “Our free app for Palm webOS enables music fans play their favorite Slacker Radio stations wherever they go.”

Slacker is already available on BlackBerry and Google Android-based smartphones, and will soon be accessible on Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
