Telus Mobility Lists Motorola Milestone as ‘Coming Soon’
1:52 pm on February 1, 2010 | Category: Mobile Devices, Cell Phones
The impending launch of the Motorola Milestone on Telus Mobility’s wireless network got a flurry of coverage on tech blogs today, as Telus itself began promoting the Android-based smartphone as “coming soon.”
The Milestone (essentially a Canadian version of the Motorola Droid) features a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel digital camera, built-in Wi-Fi, and HSPA mobile broadband technology.
Telus has yet to provide an official launch date or pricing information for the device, but one tipster (quoted on MobileMag.com) says that it will “most definitely” be available on February 15th. Not all such tips are accurate, as we were reminded last month, but Telus wouldn’t likely be promoting the device unless it planned to launch it in the very near future.
