Patent licensing firm, Wi-Lan Inc., has agreed to settle a lawsuit brought against it by Vancouver-based telecommunications giant, Telus Communications.
Telus had claimed an ownership interest in several wireless technology patents that Wi-Lan is using for its own intellectual property claims. Under the settlement agreement, Telus will sell any outstanding rights to these patents to Wi-Lan.
The settlement is subject to a formal agreement which both companies are expected to sign in the coming weeks.
