Rogers Wireless Launches Samsung Galaxy Spica

Canadian cell phone giant, Rogers Wireless, has begun offering Samsung’s latest Android-based smartphone, the Galaxy Spica.

The new handset features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, 800-MHz processor, and HSPA mobile broadband connectivity, allowing it to access the internet at speeds of up to 3.6-Mbps. It also comes equipped with built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.1-megapixel digital camera.

The Galaxy Spica’s Android 1.5 operating system comes with a full suite of Google services, including Google Search, Google Maps, GMail, Google Talk, and YouTube.

Rogers is currently selling the Galaxy Spica for as little as $79.99 on a three-year voice and data contract.
