XM Canada is making its satellite radio application available for Android-based smartphones.

The ‘XM online+’ software makes it possible to listen to over 100 channels of music, talk shows, entertainment, and sports programming via a mobile phone. It was previously made available through Apple’s iTunes App Store and Research In Motion’s BlackBerry App World.

XM online+ is now available for Android phones at a cost of $7.99 per month, or $2.99 per month with an existing XM satellite radio subscription. A free trial is available for the first 14 days.
