Motorola to Release Android 2.2 for Milestone in Early 2011
8:57 am on September 7, 2010 | Category: Cell Phones, Mobile Devices, Software
Several weeks after freelance developers created an impromptu version of Android 2.2 for the Motorola Milestone device, Motorola itself has announced plans for an official release of the advanced operating system.
The upgrade will allow for “provides support for Adobe Flash Player 10, meaning improved web browsing, and also support for USB tethering, which enables users to share their mobile data connection with a laptop,” a Motorola spokesperson explained.
Motorola’s version of Android 2.2 won’t be available until early next year, however, meaning that some potential Milestone buyers will be left in the lurch this Christmas shopping season.
The Motorola Milestone features a 3.7-inch multitouch display, sliding QWERTY keyboard, and support for multiple applications to run simultaneously.

Unacceptable. I’m never buying from them again. I was promised Flash when the device came out. I was promised 2.2 in April…July…September… October… 2011? And STILL they have the NERVE to release it for other devices first?
